Mission: trespass

My Larry has a new blog (S Word), hosted at The Other Journal, on the intersection of science and technology and religion. Here is his little “about” blurb:

The happy harmony of science and faith is too often and too glibly proclaimed. The real picture is far more interesting: culture wars, religious fears, evangelical atheism, good and bad science, good and bad theology, art, books, cartoons, dogs and cats, and the unpredictable, inexhaustible grab-bag of life itself. S Word scrapes skepticism against authority, freedom against constraint, desire against logic. It goes wherever it likes in that shifty country where the relationship between science and religion is strained, funny, disturbing, suggestive, or just plain weird. Mission: trespass.

His first post was on the Israeli assault on Gaza, and, believe it or not, he actually connected it to science.

This creates the circles you see on pond-tops. Waves going outwards, one inside of the other.

    others outside of the inside.

defining one another...erasing themselves in the creation of something new, something inward (that then travels outward).

So S word scrapes. The scraping is the momentum we're all pushing to undo and embrace. Which is nice.

What did you have for lunch today? I had frozen dinner. A ravioli sort of thing. Now you know.
