I write and I draw. I’m a wreck, but I’m basically happy. I have radical fatigue, soft tissue pain, and autonomic dysfunction. Plus other stuff. This blog is about my life and everything else. My writing tends to be more essayistic than bitsy-piecey, so some posts are longish, as blog posts go. Hey—that’s my style.
I'm a theological kinda gal too—incarnational and sacramental, but I rove about as well. If you're allergic to all things religious, please ignore those posts. And if you must know, my worship home is the Episcopal Church and anywhere else I happen to be. I usually happen to be at home. I can be reached by e-mail at msleaf at wildblue dot net. I try to respond to all e-mails, but I'm not physically capable of carrying on any substantive private correspondence.
Don’t be fooled by this blog into an exaggerated idea of my physical functionality: Because my hands (and all my other parts) are prone to pain, I couldn’t do it without mega-help from my husband Larry and my keen friend Alan. Alan transcribes my original drafts. Larry helps in numerous ways. Most, but not all, recent photographs are taken by him. The parts I do myself give me pain, make me happy, and wear me out. It’s tricky to do these things without causing myself trouble, but I’m a maker by nature, and it feels damn good to be at it again, even a little bit.
