Frog Chorus With Spoken Word: Audio

Spring peepers (frogs particular to New England) and Larry help me over my shyness about posting audio. 4min. 45sec.  I'm a dork; listen and laugh.

  1. Well that was fun. Wonderful to hear your voices! And to contemplate the frogs :-)

  2. You have a great voice! No need to be shy. :)

  3. Those frogs are loud! That was great, thanks!

  4. Oh Priscilla and Larry. This is great. Great to hear your voices and you both seem quite natural doing it. I enjoyed hanging out with you for 5 minutes. :)

  5. Lovely to hear your voices, and those wonderful frogs!

  6. Bonjour Priscilla!

I finally took the time to listen in... and I'm glad that I waited for the perfect moment instead of going ahead and listening to it while *doing other stuff*.

So I made myself a nice hot cup of tea ― it's cold and raining, here in Montréal ― put my feet up, and focused on the podcast.

I can't believe you've never done this before, because you're a natural. And yes, you have a beautiful voice, one that I could go on listening to for hours. Your friend Larry is very entertaining also, good voice too. As a matter of fact, you two are perfect together ― I wanted the podcast to go on and on...

But I guess we'll all have to wait for the next episode. Till then, I'll have visions of frogs and used condoms dancing in my head, wondering what sour red Flemish ale tastes like.

Please don't let us linger TOO long.

    Hugs & Love,

P.S.: The sound quality is superb. Would like to know what equipment you used to record. Also, is the audio bar on your post a Blogger feature or do you use some other podcast program? Thanks!

  7. Hi, this is Larry of the sour ale --

Re the equipment, we use an Olympus DS-2 handheld digital recorder on its highest record quality setting and a plug-in external stereo mic (I forget the code number) -- it's a hammerhead shaped thing, small, goes right into the mic jack. That's essential -- sound quality from the built-in mics is not so good. I think that the two items together cost less than $200.

We've actually been recording together for years, separately and together -- audio letters to friends, skits for young relatives, that sort of thing -- this is just the first time we've _posted_ something.

    Thanks for kind words!

    Best regards,

  8. Bonjour Priscilla and Larry!

Special hello and thanks to Larry for the technical details. Will definitely look into that equipment... and maybe the sour ale, too ;-)

    Hugs & Love
